smeller and the smelled
![]() a keen sense of smell entertains my mind and imagination. Beginning in childhood I smell, sniff, crush things all the time and later find them in pockets, boxes, jars. From growing up gardening and wild-crafting to growing herbs in city pots, a love of Nature includes a love of technology. Fortunate to communicate with scent makers, perfumers, incense makers, oil collectors, trend makers, filmmakers, designers, artisans, and more, I feel lucky when asked to smell stuff during the creative process. As an artist/writer I know the value of a trusted critique. I had the good fortune to co-manage a fragrance boutique, after working fragrance launches aka working in the trenches. The boutique carried a deep collection, the owner had a great nose and sense of humor. Active in fragrance forums, an avid researcher, I hone my understanding of the language of this amazing sense. |
